Key Responsibilities: What You Will Do
As a Health Care Assistant, your role will involve:
Personal Care Assistance
One of your key responsibilities will be to assist with personal care. This could include helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other hygiene tasks that help maintain your client’s comfort and dignity.
Blood Glucose Monitoring & Medication Support
Due to her Diabetes Mellitus, your client requires regular blood glucose monitoring. You will help ensure that her medication is administered on time and assist with medication management to help keep her condition under control.
Bladder and Bowel Management
In addition to personal care, you’ll also assist with bladder and bowel management, ensuring that your client is comfortable and well-cared for in all aspects of her daily life.
Mobility Assistance
Your client is able to move independently around the house with the aid of a walking stick. However, she requires assistance when using a wheelchair for longer distances outside the house. You’ll assist her with mobility and provide support when she needs to get in and out of the house or during outings.

What We’re Looking For: The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for compassionate and experienced individuals who are dedicated to providing high-quality care. To be considered for this position, you will need:
- At least 6 months of care experience (preferably with elderly or vulnerable individuals).
- Care Certificate or a willingness to complete care modules under our Lead Assessor’s guidance.
- A valid Mandatory Training Certificate (ideally in place).
- Enhanced DBS certificate, preferably on the Update Service.
- Driver’s license as this role involves traveling to and from the client’s home.
- Client commitment and flexibility to meet the specific needs of the service user.
While not required, the following are desirable:
- Health and Social Care Qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
- Mental Health Certificate or experience, especially with dealing with challenging behaviour.
Working Hours and Pay: A Competitive Package
This is a weekend-only position that offers flexibility. The hours of work are:
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – Days Only
- 12-hour shifts per day
- Competitive pay of £11.44 per hour
