Your Role as a Part-Time Administrator
As a key member of the administration team, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the hospital by providing professional, efficient and confidential administrative support. You’ll help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes—allowing clinical and operational teams to focus on delivering outstanding care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality organisational and administrative support to the hospital team
Prepare, format, and distribute reports, documentation, and meeting materials
Maintain accurate digital and paper records in line with data protection guidelines
Respond promptly and professionally to telephone and email enquiries
Schedule and minute meetings as needed, ensuring timely communication of outcomes
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity within the administration function
Assist in managing diaries, coordinating appointments, and liaising with internal departments
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a healthcare or mental health setting
Confident using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and basic database systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, flexible approach to work with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong organisational skills, with high attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
Friendly, calm and professional attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
Knowledge of mental health terminology or experience working in a secure hospital environment
Familiarity with NHS systems, CPA framework, or trauma-informed care principles
