Key Benefits
Undergraduate Scholarship:
- Scholarship Amount: £24,000 total (£8,000 per year for 3 years)
- Conditions: Requires a 60% average score each year to maintain the scholarship
- Application Eligibility: Must apply for full-time undergraduate courses (excluding Medicine, Dentistry, Architecture, or integrated foundation courses) at the University of Manchester’s UK campus.
Master’s Scholarship:
- Scholarship Amount: £15,000
- Eligibility: Academic excellence and high-quality responses in the scholarship application
- Eligible Courses: Excludes MBA, MPhil, Master of Architecture, PGCE, Clinical Medicine, and Dentistry degrees.
Eligibility Requirements
For Undergraduate Applicants:
- Residency: Must be domiciled in an African country for at least three years.
- Self-funded: Must not be sponsored by any other organization.
- Course Requirements: Must be applying for direct first-year entry in 2025 for any eligible degree program.
- Firm Choice: Must have chosen The University of Manchester as the FIRM UCAS choice by May 23, 2025.
For Master’s Applicants:
- Must hold an unconditional offer to study a full-time, on-campus master’s program starting in September 2025 by April 24, 2025.
- Eligible students will be sent a scholarship application form, which must be submitted by April 25, 2025.
How to Apply
Step-by-Step Application Process:
- Apply for Admission: Submit an application for an undergraduate or master’s program at the University of Manchester.
- Receive Offer: If you receive an offer, a scholarship application form will be emailed to you (forms are sent out starting December 2024).
- Submit Scholarship Application: Complete and submit the scholarship form by April 24, 2025 (for undergraduate) or April 25, 2025 (for master’s).
- Notification of Awards: Successful applicants will be notified by June 21, 2025.
